Show and Tell Monday!

February is such a busy month in our family. We have a million birthdays including my dear sweet hubby and my father. Not to mention Valentine's Day of course. I have a little story for you about my the first Valentine's Day my DH and I spent together. We didn't plan on having a date that day. We were just "friends" and co-workers and liked to hang out together. Well. . we went out to grab a bite to eat at a Shabu Shabu Restaurant (an adventure in itself because I don't eat meat). When we were done eating the chef came over to us and picked up one of the paper menus in front of us. We just sort of looked at one another. . he began folding it and with in seconds he made a beautiful origami heart. He gave it to us and said we were a lovely couple. It was a bit uncomfortable being that we were just friends. . but here we are almost 9 years from that day, and yes . . we still have the heart. It is tucked in a book of dreams my sweetie also gave me that day. I guess the chef saw something we were both trying to hide.

Ok, enough mushiness. . now for the show and tell. Well, I have been making jewelry for years as a little hobby. I decided to share one of the charm bracelets I made. I just had the itch to step away from paper and play with shiny, pretty things! I think I may try and sell this one. What do ya think?

Next up are some Spring and Valentine tags with vintage millinery flowers. I actually got to dust off my sewing machine a bit for the heart ones. They were such fun to make. Finally there is a large embellished box. I think you could use it for a sewing box. It is padded and is adorned with vintage trims and lace.

Well, that's all for now. . have wonderful week and go hug someone you love! Thanks for visiting!
