Hello and Welcome!
I wasn't sure I could do it but I did. Forgive me, I am new to blogging. I went ahead and decided to take the plunge. I have to say I was inspired by the wonderful women of Make Mine Pink. They have been such a wonderful community of support.
To begin with, my Mother and I have always been busy making gifts or busy creating something. As a child I helped her with her own business for several years. Unselfishly, she postponed her dream to care for her ailing parents. She always held on to the dream of one day having a business again. About six years ago shortly after the birth of my son she developed cancer. It was a scary time but I am happy to say she has been cancer free for over four years and counting. After completing her treatment and beginning to heal she came to me with the idea of trying a business again. I was thrilled as this had always been a dream of mine as well. We started with a love of beautiful papers and ephemera. Over the years we had collected vintage jewels and trinkets. Many from my Grandmother's collection. We began creating journals and stationery for gifts. I loved decorating bottles and soon added those to our collection. We added bookmarks and began doing craft fairs for a few years.
I am a former teacher and now am a stay at home mom. I wanted to do something that I loved and still be able to be there for my little ones. So here we are! I started our site a few months ago and we are in the process of getting things going. It is a bit scary, but we are taking the leap and are determined to make it happen!
Thank you for stopping by and come back again soon.
