It's Time For a Treat!

Happy Monday (Sunday for you early birds) everyone! My weekend just flew by and I was lucky enough to find this wonderful textured box over the weekend at one of my favorite local antique shops. Sadly it is going out of business and they are getting rid of some really great items. I snatched up a few goodies, most of the furniture was already sold. This box is one of several I found there. The real surprise was when I got home and opened them up. The inside was as lovely as the outside.

I am really looking forward to the upcoming holiday season and decided to start the gift giving a bit early. So, simply leave a comment telling me what you are looking forward to most this upcoming holiday season and you will be entered to win this box. Only it won't be just the box. . it will of course be filled with lovely goodies for you to enjoy. A little treat from me to you. The winner will be selected at random on Friday, November 7th. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week.

Hi Carrie,

This box is really lovely and I agree, the interior is as beautiful as the exterior! What I look forward most to this holiday season is spending time with family, have time away from work, rejuvenate, have more time to crafting and making new items. The simple things really..:)

Have a good week ahead!

Hi Carrie,
What a wonderful box. As soon a I saw it, I thought it would be a great place to stash items that take stress away.
As far as the holidays, my favorite part is seeing Lili, my grand daughter's happy face on Christmas day.

Carrie, what a terrific find! That is so beautiful. Band boxes are one of my favorite things. They are such a fun way to store things.
I am praying for a holiday season that does not include any hospitals. Our last 2 Christmases have been celebrated in the hospital.

Hi Carrie,
Your box is a beautiful find and how generous you are to share it with one of us. I know you will have a wonderful Christmas...you still have those wonderful little ones at home and you can still create magic for them! There are no "little ones" in our immediate family, but we still like to create a little magic for each other at Christmas-time. That is what I love best!! I hope you have a wonderful week!!

What a great giveaway Carrie! The box is indeed lovely. I love the holidays, Christmas, the most. I look forward to time spent with family. The giving spirit that the holidays bring. Delicious sights and smells and old and new traditions, and of course, the look on my children's faces during all of these things.

Carrie, I would be soooo thrilled to win this lovely box and all the wonderful things nestled inside.

What I am looking forward to most this season is spending time with family, cooking lots of comfort food and all the traditions I've enjoyed over the years.

Sigh it is sad but a lot of antique shops are just not making it. We visited one in Augusta that was full of treasures too but she said business was very very slow.

We are looking forward to spending some time with our son, daughter and family.

Hi Carrie, great idea love the box. I adore boxes myself. I have boxes and trunks all over my house. Well, with regard to the holiday season. Living in New York we had always gone to Manhattan and saw the Radio City show and then the tree and shops it was great. Well 9/11 stopped all that for many years. This year we are going back for the first time in many years and my kids are much older and so am I for that matter, but to my surprise when I told me kids what we are planning they all were so excited and that meant so much to me that they loved that tradtion we had and how much they missed it. With that being said, no matter where I am with my family the seven of us are always happiest when we are together. Thanks for asking I love sharing this story. Have a great holiday season to you and yours Sweet pink hugs, Patty

How sweet!

Well, this is our first Christmas without Santa Claus, so it will be a little sad. I guess what I'm looking forward to the most is shopping with my kids. I like to see how their minds work when they are buying for each other.

what a nice giveaway!
To tell you the truth, I have mixed feelings about the upcoming holidays.
It's always a special time in our family & I love Thanksgiving & Christmas.
But this will be the first Christmas without my dad so it will be bittersweet.
