Another Flea Market Trip

Today I went with a dear friend to the Flea Market. This trip was pure shopping fun! I decided to finally treat myself to a few goodies as well as pick up some things for the site. This beautiful lace blouse was my favorite find of the day and it was a steal!

I also picked up this pretty white lace one. There were so many to choose from I am already planning a return trip to my new favorite vendor.

I have a collection of old box purses and this one was so unique I had to have it! It is wooden with a really cute scene. I forgot to get a picture but it is fully lined and padded and has a mirror in it as well.

Another favorite find of the day was this great little dress form. I added a tag and some pretty ribbons. I just love the images it is covered with! This one will be available soon!

Of course I had to have more lace. I know I just blogged below about my big stash I recently acquired but I had to get some more! I plan on sharing a few of these ones.

Well I don't want to share it all but my cart was overflowing with really great finds today!

To Market We Go

Today we took a little trip to the Long Beach Antique and Flea Market. The weather was perfect, cloudy even and so not like August in Southern California. I had a list of things in mind for this trip and top on the list was a bed for my daughter Francesca. Well. . we didn't have much luck in that dept but I did manage to find some great things for the site. I also had my eye out for pink and here are a few things I found. . .

I really wanted this bench (it was such a steal!) but DH kept asking the question of the day, "Where are we going to put it?" Why do men always need a plan. I would find room and make it work. . lol.

We did find this bed but it was a full and we needed a twin. Oh, I was so hoping to come home with one.

The kiddies really had a good time in their chariot. They even got a little magic show from a sweet little old man who sold them some Hot Wheels.

Here are a few other things that caught my eye. Some great chippy old chairs.

This booth had lots of pretty things. You just wish you could take it all home with you. All in all it was a fun day and I did find something that really made it all worth while. . but I'm not sharing just yet. I will say it is for Olivia my dress form and I now have a vision for her and can't wait to get started making her over!

Tuesday Treasures

Welcome to Tuesday treasures. I decided to share a little something new each week. This week I hit the jackpot! Don't you just love it when you find a big grab bag of goodies for a steal, then you get home and it is full of surprises? I found yards of pearls, giant spools of trim, a beautiful vintage apron and this great pink jewelry box. To top it off FedEx just rang my doorbell and delivered something very special. . .meet. . . Olivia. The next time you see her she will be a new woman!
